Okay, so my GPU is Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 and I got it like a year ago. It was working flawless but I noticed after a couple months, while gaming, my GPU fan seemed to go at 100% speed when overheated. It shows different speed percentages in CCC but the fan is not spinning at all. It goes up to 100% speed while playing a heavy game. I also noticed that when I boot up my PC, the fan only spins twice for like 2 seconds then stops completely. Has anyone else ever had this kind of problem? Please HALP!!!

You mean when you boot up? That will happen and there's some companies that the fans will spin backwards to clear out any lost dust for a few seconds and then spin normal. But that's during boot up.

Yes but it completely stops after that and only spins when overheated.

So the fans only spin when it's overheated? What's your idea of overheated, like temps.

It would burn your skin if you put your hand longer than 10 seconds, that hot. The temp shows 70 degrees celcius in CCC.

70c is warm but some cards can run very hot and still be fine.I think the 290x runs very hot and uses a lot of power. The next ones are suppose to reduce this as some people don't like the xtra heat. Try playing a game with lower quality and see if it's still hot running at 100%. The fan unless user defined is set to run at 100% shouldn't be running that fast unless it's really being pushed hard.
