Hey folks. I'll make this very quick. I'm building a gaming machine and I have
made a list of all components that I'm going to buy. Now, I want this build to be
as good as possible for the money I'll be spending, so I decided to ask you guys and see your opinions about this build.

First off, my budget would be something from 1000€ - 1300€ (1300$ - 1700$)
So far this all makes about 1150€.

Now, here's the list of components that I'm considering:

  • mobo: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO - z97 chipset
    cpu: Core i5-4690K @3.5GHz
gpu: ASUS GTX760 DC2OC 2GB (I already own one, but I'm planning to get another one for sli)
ram: 8GB DDR3-1600MHz Kingston Beast XMP, 2x4GB (or maybe 16GB, I can't decide on this one)
psu: Fortron AURUM CM 750W 80PLUS GOLD, modular
    hdd: 2TB WesternDigital 20PURX Purple 64MB SATAIII 7200rpm
ssd: SSD 2,5" 120GB Samsung 840 EVO Basic
case: Corsair C70 Vengeance Series Gunmetal Black
liquid cooling: Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H105
    fans: Corsair SP120 red LED - 2x
os: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
And what I'm aiming for? I want to do SLI GTX760 (3.0 PCIe slots). Purely gaming PC machine.
So please, if you think that something could be replaced for a better part or just that something is simply too expensive for the performance, let me know!

Also, one important question: How should I arrange my fans including the fans on the liquid cooling system? 1 in front, 1 in back and 2 at the top for liquid cooling?

Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to seeing your answers.
Have a nice day ya'll. :)
(Note: I live in middle Europe, so I may not be able to get all the parts you suggest)

I would look to another brand of power supply - Corsair, Antec or Seasonic are safe bets. They cost a bit more - but there is a reason.

I would also suggest a WD Black hard drive - the warranty is a lot better - and the drives rock!

As for 8GB/16GB - I have two desktops - one with 8GB and the other with 16GB - the only time I utilize the extra RAM is when I am using photoshop on extensive photo editing....99% of the time - I never use it.

■• Okay guys, I've picked the BLACK version of WD hdd. Thanks for that tip.
When it comes to the PSU, I saw a great review on my Fortron PSU at LinusTechTips on Youtube.
Plus, most of Corsair's and Seasonic's good PSU models aren't in stock in most of shops in my country.
But I'll keep that in mind. I originally wanted to go with Corsair HX750i platinum, but it was out of stock as well.

@Tradesman1■• Alright, I'll go for 16 gigs then. I myself use Photoshop a lot and I guess I could use that extra memory. Plus what Tradesman1 said, DRAM usage continues to rise, good point.

In the end I went with CoolerMaster V850 W, modular and WD Black, 2TB. :)
