Okay so I'm upgrading my motherboard from an msi 760gm p23 to a asus M5A78L-M/USB3 I already have a full system with windows 7 and all my stuff installed on it I have a 1tb hdd which holds all my files
What do I need to do before installing a new motherboard also I don't know wether to do clean install of everything which wouldn't bother me at all but will my windows key from the windows I'm using now work on the new motherboard when it's set up? Or I could find a way to just transfer it all over but everyone tells me a clean install is much less hassle

The rest of my system
Gpu gtx 770 2gb
CPU amd fx 8320
Psu cx 600
Mobo msi 760gm p23
8gb 1333 ram

Windows key will work. I would do a clean install just to be safe. Less of a chance for any conflicting hardware drivers.

When I started and had to do a case swap, I just watched a couple build guides. Preferably one with some of the components i'm installing.

When I built my current computer, I just took everything out and followed this guide
