Desktop goes to login after about two minutes of inactivity

Desktop goes to login after about two minutes of inactivity...I've done the 5 steps indicated. I've also tried several suggestions.

My computer has always had the user password box unchecked. I just would like to get rid of the login screen since I'm the only user in a secure environment. Want to go straight to desktop without the login. Never have had a password on this computer.

Will try the tutorial. What seems odd is that the check box has never been checked so when I get to that part, I don't know how to proceed...nothing to uncheck. I've never had a password for windows on this computer.

Update: Tried tutorial solution three times. No change. Desktop still reverts to login after two or three minutes of not using. Each time I tried tutorial solution the check box came up blank. I tried checking it to require password then going back to uncheck it. That didn't work either. Still looking for a solution.
