Hey guys,

This is my first time building a computer, it's something I've wanted to do for a while. I've been looking around at other peoples builds and trying to decide which to go with or if I want to merge a few builds. I saved 6 builds that I found on a few sites that are somewhat similar and are mostly within my price range, so I'll post the links to those at the bottom of this. I'm planning on using this computer for games like Skyrim (and Skyrims/Morrowind merge mods), Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls 1/2, The Witcher Series, etc. You get the idea. I've been playing a few of these on my laptop and it runs them decently, but I keep worrying that it's not good for my laptop and I could be running them much better on a nicer machine. Things to keep in consideration when looking at these builds are that I would like an optical drive and although I'm pretty sure there's not much difference between drives, if you have a suggestion there, please make it. I'd just be using it for burning cd's, viewing pictures, installing the OS, etc. I'm on the fence about getting a SSD to put the OS alongside a mechanical drive versus just getting a mechanical, so if you have any suggestions there, could you please tell me which SSD you'd get and the rationale behind getting it. I get a free copy of Windows 8 through my school, I'm planning on getting a nicer monitor than what I have after I have the computer made, keyboard, mouse, etc, I can do all that after the computer is made. If you have anything that you think I should add that just completely isn't on the list, like a cooler or different case, that'd be really helpful too.

Thanks so much for your help, here are the builds I'm looking at. If you could give me a final build with rationale, that'd be so so great.

I hope this post is in a decent format to work with, those were just the builds that stood out to me and I'd rather have feedback on which is better or which to merge than to do it all on my own.

Thanks
