so i was going to peace together a new i7 machine. Mainly for gaming. I was going to mainly use it for rome 2. There are several posts in the rome 2 forums stating the new dedicated graphics work just fine on the new i7 machines. That buying say a new gtx770 for $500 is a waste of money. Anyone want to set me straight here?

It will run Rome II and maaaaaaaany other games (including most of the latest heavy demanding ones) at 60 fps easy, this is a really solid GPU and I really like it.

GTX 770 for $500. USD? Thats seems to much, they should be sold for about $300. Also an I7 is unnecessary for gaming, they only help for productivity. So yes that GPU will work, but a GTX 760 or R9 280 may be a better option since they will max that game easy.
