As of now I have an A8 6600K on an Asus A88XM-A Mobo with dual channel RipJaws X 8GB 1600 CL9. They are on a Aerocool VS-3 Case with 4 intake and 1 rear exhaust deepcool fans.

Is it possible to lower the ram timings of my 1600 CL9 to CL8 or speed it up to 1866 CL9? Will I need to increase the default 1.5v voltage? Overclock newbie here so I don't know much yet. Thank you.

There's a variety of RJ X sets, prob have 9-9-9-24? if so try 1866, 9-10-10-27, 1.6 and take the CPU/NB up to 1.18

Yes I have the 9-9-9-24 like the one here (http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl9d-8gbxl)

So this frequency and timings would work faster with my APU? I plan on buying a Sapphire R9 270X 2GB dual fan in the near future so I'm doing this to utilize the APU's full potential for now.

I don't get the CPU/NB part. What is it for? I'll just increase the voltage or including the speed? I'm running it on stock 3.9ghz

CPU/NB voltage is what runs the MC (memory controller) which may need a bit of help with the faster than spec freq, may not need it ;)

Okay, I'll go with the 1866 9-10-10-27. How does the higher timings of 1866 compare to the stock 1600? Do you know the specific fields where I would need to input the 9-10-10-27 in the Asus UEFI Bios? And for the CPU/NB Voltage?
Thank you very much :D

Here it is, am I doing it right? Is SB1.1 Voltage same as the CPU/NB you are talking about?

And the clocks on the left is correct I assume.
