Hi, I am upgrading my pc with an new GPU

My previous GPU is Sapphire AMD/ATI VAPOR-X HD 7950 OC with Boost 3 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card. Which is used just for 5 months after that all i faced is system restart problems. So i send this card to RMA . I will be selling this one when i get it back

anyway today i have seen a price slash down on ZOTAC cards in snapdeal.com
http://tinyurl.com/pu2p6b7

MY budget is 30,000RS/-. I dont know which one to buy. Please suggest a good card at good price. Any valuable suggestion are most appreciated

Sorry for bad English :)
Thanks in advance

Ok, please be more specific. I click the Link, I see the Zotac R9 280x in what looks to be an ad up top. I also see a ton of GT640's and GT210's, other then that, all them in the list are not that much better then the HD7950, Only thing to look at would be a GTX770. the website is poorly laid out with adds the are relevant to whats on that page.

If your looking at a Zotac R9 280x get it, other then that, I have no clue really what your asking judging from that site. sorry.

Sorry for that, I know the website is really shitty. If you can click on price rage you will see from price higher to lower

and also what about i buy another HD 7950 and cross fire it? will it able to beat some higher end gpu's

else should i just get rif of HD 7950 and get a new good card. If yes then please suggest a good one in 500-600$

My rig
Z87-GD65 GAMING
corsair vengeance ddr3 8gb
corsair 750watt psu
i7 4770

and once again sorry for the website. Thanks for your help :)

Its not your fault, Its not a site I recognize and they seem to have some strange ads lol

But yeah Another HD7950 would make it a killer combo, It would out perform any R9 290x and it would be right with a HD7990 and maybe a hair slower then the R9 295x. 2x 7950s would even out perform a single GTX Titan, I would honestly go for it if you have enough power and a motherboard to support 2 of them.

is it because 80 Plus Gold certified. Do think normal 750watt is not equal to 550 Watts(80 Plus Gold certified)?

Because i don't want spend another 6k. Its only been 6months since brought this PC and this PSU will go waste

I don't agree with this guy, Your downgrading, even if the PSU he suggested is the best out there, 550 is a bit to low specilly if you want to run to cards later on. Honestly I'd keep the current PSU you have and call it a day, I seen builds with CX series and not had a problem. I just do not agree with this guys decision.

That is my opinion, downgrade/upgrade, you decide, Corsair CX is not the best I agree, but definitely not bad.

Now If I were to buy a Gold rated PSU, it would be near 1000watts or more as I always plan on running more the 2 mid range video cards where a 550watt is just cutting it to close.

No, I am not going to upgrade blindly. I will check once my card return from RMA. If it docent workout then i buy a 1000watt psu from tier 1

and about GPU. I read on some threads that crossfire is very bad http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1656530/7950-crossfire.html

What do you suggest :(

He already said he sent his card to RMA and he is going to sell it once he gets back(and whether it works or not is a different question entirely). He never said about Crossfire.

And for wattage, tomsHardware made a GTX 770 build with a 450W PSU and also overclocked it
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-budget-gaming-pc,3780.html
And i can give you many examples of stable builds, for example the 300 Steam Machine prototypes with 450W PSU and GTX Titan

I just got the R9 290 tri x. Installed it. I tried to increase the power and clock setting in CCC but soon as i click on apply button my screen gos blue(its docent restart). Just a blue screen. I force restarted system and try to play watchdogs now pc restarts like with my old card HD 7950. I think this is a PSU problem as you said. Please suggest a new PSU which will last long and future proof. I cannot spend K's of money every year. its very frustrating :(

I reset them to default. started FUR mark instant restart again. I lowered the settings to gpu = -40% MC = -35% power = 0 and started the FUR mark at 800x600. it restarts again. Did i got a faulty graphics card?
Do you think its definitely a power problem? and the psu you have suggested is out of stock? can you suggest another one?

My complete rig
Z87-GD65 GAMING
i7 4770
samsung 120gb ssd 840 evo
seagate 1tb internal hard disk
corsair vengeance ddr3 8gb
4 120mm fans
LG dvd writer
R9 290 tri x
corsair 750watt psu

OK. I just did a experiment to find out weather it is a power problem or not. What is did was I have another PSU from my old pc(mercury 450w KTP-H200)

I removed the corsair power supply from motherboard and jumpered it with a regular wire after that I connected the mother board with my mercury 450w psu and started the PC. Now i ran the FUR mark at 1920X1080 and it ran without any problem at 72fps, 80C. So i think my corsair CX was unable to power the hole PC

ANOTHER PROBLEM :

I opened the CCC ---> Performance ---> AMD overdrive and changed the gpu clock to +20% memory clock to +20% power +20% clicked on apply blue screen(not system restart) I restarted the system manually. Now starts the problem of screen flickering while click the mouse on empty area, refresh, opening anything. It only stops while changing the setting to default

Is it a VRAM problem? should i return the CARD to snapdeal.com?

without overclocking(factory settings)
