Hello everyone!
So I'm trying to build a computer using the ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 as a motherboard and I'm really confused about the memory it supports.
First, it says:
"2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory", which seems fine, but then it says
"* AMD FX Series CPU on this motherboard supports up to DDR3 1866MHz as its standard memory frequency.
* Due to CPU spec., AMD AM3 CPUs on this motherboard support up to DDR3 1333MHz."
Basically I plan on buying a FX-6300 processor and a CRUCIAL PC3-12800 1600MHZ 8GB BALLISTIX CL9 (1X8GB) DDR3. I'm confused, I just want to know if everything is compatible.
