Hello everyone!
So I'm trying to build a computer using the ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 as a motherboard and I'm really confused about the memory it supports.
First, it says:

"2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory", which seems fine, but then it says

"* AMD FX Series CPU on this motherboard supports up to DDR3 1866MHz as its standard memory frequency.
* Due to CPU spec., AMD AM3 CPUs on this motherboard support up to DDR3 1333MHz."

Basically I plan on buying a FX-6300 processor and a CRUCIAL PC3-12800 1600MHZ 8GB BALLISTIX CL9 (1X8GB) DDR3. I'm confused, I just want to know if everything is compatible.

Solution
Yes,everything is compatible.
But it's better to get 2x4GB than 1x8GB.
If one DIMM fails, you will still have 4GB.If the 1x8GB DIMM fails, then you have to buy completely new memory.
Enjoy ;)

Thank you for your answer :)
Oh I think I put the wrong model, I was already planning on buying a 2x4GB RAM.
By the way, another thing that is bothering me is the on-board sound card. I'm planning on doing a lot of gaming, listening to music, and watching videos. Is the "Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio" enough, or should I buy another motherboard, or a sound card?

Unless you're an audiophile and own $200+ headphones or $800+ stereo speakers, you're fine with integrated audio.

As for the CPU, note that all FX processors are AM3+, not AM3. AM3+ mobos are backwards compatible with AM3 CPUs, and those can not use memory faster than 1333. (And even if you had an ancient AM3 CPU, the memory would still be compatible. It would simply work at a slower speed than it is capable of).
