Hey just starting my first build soon looking for some advice from you guys!

Computer will be used for light gaming (Counter-Strike) and some photoshop editing. Low on funds right now, but I do plan to upgrade to a i5 in the near future. For the time being, I do plan to overclock the G3258 somewhat.

CPU: Intel G3258
Motherboard: MSI z97-Gaming 5
Graphics: MSI GTX 750 TI
PSU: EVGA 500B
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 (4GB x 2)

Any suggestions? How is the power supply? or Video card?

Solution
RAM, PSU, GPU are good.

You're spending $150 on MoBo and $75 on CPU? Not advicable. How about this combo?

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor ($112.09 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $217.08

Fits your CPU+MoBo budget, and is lot better than Pentium, you may not even need to upgrade to i5 as it'll run latest titles alot better. That MoBo is a good one, supports both SLI and CF.

Nice build, but you could get a cheaper motherboard and with the money saved, you could get a GTX760. The rest is great.

Its a good deal, but the CPU doesnt need a Z97 Gaming 5 mobo, I suggest the Asrock Z97 Anniversary mobo, or cheaper motherboards that can OC the processor.
