Seems like the CPU won't boot or something

So, here's the problem: I just built a new computer, but I can't boot it.
I can't even see what's on screen, if there would be anything. I'm using a screen with VGA and a DVI adapter.

So, when I boot it, there's a red light that turns on on the motherboard, as well as my graphics card. I don't know what that's about though.

Also, my hard drives turn on, and my optical drive is active as well, I can open the CD tray.

Anyway, I don't seem to be able to boot the darn thing and I've spent all day getting frustrated over making this computer work, and it's wearing me out.

Also, for some reason it seems like the CPU remains inactive, but I don't know why. The cable is plugged properly, as well as the Power Supply. I'm just lost and angry and I don't know what to do :(

Nothing here suggests that its primarily the CPU, could be the graphics, motherboard defect etc. I would suggest buying a POST reader which gives you an error code on a small LED display which would tell you more accurately where the problem lies.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, turns out I didn't have any RAM into my mobo, so I bought some and now it boots.
But now it won't startup Windows 7. I tried to do a fresh install from USB, but it won't give me to option to even install it.
