Hi,

Im planning to upgrade my RAM....present im using DDR2 memory with ASROCK N68C which supports DDR3 and DDR2 RAM's....now my question is which memory to buy.

im from INDIA and i can afford $40-$60 and planning to buy only DDR3 of 2GB or 4GB single channel or combo in my budget....can anyone please suggest me best memory for gaming as GTA V is coming out this FALL for PC  ....corsair will be preferable...

Why do you need that?
Corsair makes some of the best memory. It's really high quality and there's less than 1% failure rate on this RAM.
Crucial Ballistix Sport 1x4GB @ 1600 MHz or Kingston HyperX 1x4GB @ 1600 MHz RAM are also great choices. ;)

What CPU? To run 1600 sticks is going to take a decent OC, if you have a CPU that can even handle 1600

Should be fine then, the N68C as was originally mentioned doesn't support the FX CPUs, but the N68C-GS FX does, so that should be fine, didn't want you wwasting money on DRAM you wouldn't be able to run to spec ;)

what does a SDRAM and a DRAM means....and what is LATENCY in sysytem RAM....can you please explain....

Latency is how much time it takes for RAM memory to respond to the user's commands. There are various types of CAS Latency, like CL9,CL10,CL11...For gaming 1866 MHz CL9 RAM is the sweet spot. ;)
SDRAM is a DRAM that is synchronized with the system bus(a single computer bus that connects the major components of a computer system).
DRAM is a type of random-access memory(RAM) that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. ;)

is latency count high is the better or low.....and i see some timing like 8-8-8 what is this mean and lower count is better or higher.
last but not least SDRAM is better or DRAM....

RAM has nothing to do with game FPS. ;)
But why 4GB? Get another stick of 4GB and you're ready to kick some ass. ;)
