ive got my 42 inch 1080p samsung tv connected to my pc though HDMI, everythings always worked fine, turn pc on today and everythings gone off screen, i tried to change my screen resolution to 1920*1080 which it was already on but nothing changes, so decreased the resolution a little bit and its managable, but im still not getting 1080p resolution

i had a similar problem when i had an older samsung tv, changed its option to "just scan" and started to work, but no luck on this tv

btw i did install a game the night before this problem but uninstalled it and tried system restore but nothing has worked

What kind of Graphics Card are your using? Was there a power failure recently? Do you have the newest Graphics Drivers?

In the settings section of the AMD Catalyst Control Center (CCC) are all kinds of settings in regards to HDTV. Included in this section is the ability to move the display all around the screen. I'm sure nVidia has the same options.

Check your TV settings. Is "overscan" turned off?

Try changing your HDMI cable or HDMI Input port.
