Razer Orochi turns off randomly in wired mode

My Razer Orochi has been working perfectly until today when it randomly died on me in the middle of a game. I tried repluging it into a different USB but that didn't work. When I move the cable around the LEDs on the mouse turn on but the mouse won't work. It does turn on sometimes but only for a short amount of time.
Here's my motherboard in case it helps: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3

It sounds like either the cable is damaged or the mouse is damaged. Does the wire go all the way in? Do you have another cable to try? Do you know someone with the same mouse to try the wire on?

I tried changing the cable and it works! The only problem is that the new cable is too thick for me to use the mouse scroll button. Oh well I can live without it.
