I am looking to build a PC to play games on. I already have an Xbox One so will not be playing the blockbuster titles (COD, battlefield, FIFA etc...) but would like to play Football Manager, Minecraft with mods and the Total War series. My budget is roughly £400 for the components, I already have a mouse, keyboard and monitor. This is what I had selected so far, if anyone could offer any feedback or point out any flaws that would be appreciated. Thank You.
CPU: I5 4440
GPU: Sapphire r7 260X
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33
Case: Aerocool V2X
Power: Corsair 430W
RAM: 8GB
Hard-drive: 500GB HDD

Football Manager would be the main game I would play, so I was mainly going to focus on the CPU rather than graphics, would the FX6300 actually offer me more than the i5 4440 due its higher clock speed and extra cores? As this was my first attempt I just opted for Intel after being unable to get a major consensus as to which is the better company.

sounds ok. Get this PSU instead though, much better quality than the corsair: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1450s...

I think I will go with the power supply you've suggested it seems as though it will be quieter, offers more scope for expansion and is the same price. Thank You.

Why dont you try this config:

AMD FX-4300 (4 Core, 4MB L2 + 4MB L3 Cache)
Biostar A88MQ (Hi-Fi sound technology)
Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 4 GB PC RAM (KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G)
WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA III 6 Gbps HDD
AOC 19.5 inch LED Backlit LCD - e2070Swnl
Sapphire R7 250X 1GB GDDR5
Asus 24X SATA DVD R/W

Should cost you around USD 650..

the i5-4440 beats the fx-6300. Your build is fine imo

yeah youre right bro
but my point is fx6300 will be fine in gaming, we can raise the budget for GFX card because its cheaper than i5, a r9 270 will be well for him
IMO i5 will not be better because its pairing with entry level card

Thanks for all the feedback, but I have decided to delay building until I have finished university. But when I do I think I will follow the sort of consensus and downgrade the CPU and upgrade the GPU.
