120mm vs 140mm fans

Solution
Go for AF 140 Quiet Edition. It has CFM of 67.8 which is a good figure with sound level of 24 dBA. Don't buy Performance edition AF120 fans as they have CFM of 63.47 which is less than the AF 140 fans and their sound level is 30dBA which is higher than the AF 140 series fans.

|Keep in mind the two factors when buying fans

1. Their air flow should be high i.e CFM should have high value
2. Their noise level is low i.e dBA should have low value

AF140 beats AF120 in both these criteria also large the fan is, less it spins with more air flow.

They will shift similar amounts of air.

120mm has a smaller surface area for smaller air volume, but runs faster to compensate.
140mm has a larger surface area for larger air volume, and can run slower as a result.

Bottom line, the 140mm fan will be quieter if that matters to you, compared to the price difference.
