So, like the title says, I'm getting an occasional RAM R/W error on POST, but both tests came back with nothing. I also get an occasional BSOD related to memory. Seems odd that I'm getting memory errors, but two memory tests come back with nothing.

It's using dual channel DDR2 and I've swapped the two positions, which resulted in more consistent POST errors. I examined the sticks and the contacts seem clean with no sign of physical damage.

Any ideas? Should I just go ahead and replace the RAM and hope that it fixes the error? Could there be something more to this?

It's likely related to a driver. Make sure ALL your device drivers are up to date, windows updates are current and no errors or strange behavior is occurring with any peripherals in device manager. Startup devices can call on memory and if there are issues with the device it can show as a memory error. Can you post a screenshot of your crash dumps?

How many passes did you do with memtest? If you did less than four passes I'd rerun the assessment and do 7 passes. There are a lot of times errors don't show up until after several passes.
