i just got done building my first gaming pc im sure i connected everything perfectly but its not turning on whenever i push the power button it shows the power led and the fan led for like a sec and then lights turns off and my cpu head sink fan and gpu fan is not spinning or anything i dont know whats wrong. These are my pc specs
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard
Zotac nvidia gta 650 128 bit 2 gb
amd fx 6300 processor 3.5 ghz
corsair vs550
4 gb vengeance ram
1 tb hard drive
i dont have a cd drive

Solution
The same thing happened to me when i built my first pc. The light flashed and the fans turned for a second when i hit the power. I had installed the motherboard without standoffs and it was right against the case. After adding standoffs it booted fine.

Double check your connections. I suggest to watch a youtube video and pause the video each time they connect a part and make sure your cable is secure and in the right slot. Most of the time the problem lies in either a loose or forgotten connection.

An easy way would be to take a pic, upload it to an image hosting site like imgur, and post the link here.

All look ok. Put the ram in the slot nearest to the cpu. Run memtest86 for couple of hours. Check for bent or broken cpu pins. Run on the onboard gpu i.e. remove the gtx650 gpu, also check that the ram is properly seated as it requires alot of force to be seated properly.

i tried putting the ram in all the slots its still not turning and its on the first slot now. i checked the cpu pins they are perfectly fine bro and i even tried removing the gpu and turning it on still didnt work so frustrated </3
the ram is seated properly i checked it. and when i power on the psu fan doesnt spin.. i just bought it yesterday maybe i bought a defected psu?

Okay, take the psu out of the case and do a paper clip test by connecting the green wire and any black wire of the 24pin atx connector with a paperclip and connect a fan to the psu then power it on and see if it works, if it doesnt the its a faulty PSU.
