Graphics card/processor woes

I'm currently building my second rig (here are the parts by the way: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7YkTZL) and I've pretty much got everything hooked up and ready to go, but whenever I start up, it gives me either of these situations:

- The graphics cards display red and green LEDs, the start and reset button are lit up but don't do anything, and the processor is not moving.
- The graphics card has both LEDs again, start and reset are lit but pressing start actually starts the processor, Q code 62 and a single monitor says "please plug in PCIe cable to the graphics card" (or something like that)

I have one 8(6+2) pin connected to each graphics card port, the 6 pin into one and the 2 pin into the second port. Am I doing something wrong here?

Dear sir,

You need one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin power connector from PSU to connect with the 780Ti. Sorry, you are doing it wrong here. In cable set from PSU, you will find cable with VGA written at one end. You these cables to connect in the configuration mentioned above.

You will need both these connectors.

Thanks, the graphics card works!

Okay so the graphics card is all good but the processor still doesn't start up. There is a little lit start button on the motherboard that does nothing when I press it. I have a 4 pin connector stemming off of the 24 pin connector and the PSU's 8(4+4) pin; I've tried both independently and combined but no combo seems to work.

What am I mixing up? None of these videos give any tips on how to get it working on a setup like mine. The only time I see them actually installing a PSU is when their CPU socket is a 4 pin or they just straight up show the PSU and nothing else. The PSU is already in there, I just need some direction regarding the CPU connector specifically.

Yes, that is correct. 4+4 should go into 8 pin connector header marked CPU Power Connector in the picture in above post. Pl spare some time and watch NewEgg series PC Building Guide which I've linked above. Don't take chances with your system.

I've watched the videos, but the problem still remains. The processor doesn't turn on, even when I'm following any and all instruction to the letter. Plug in the 8 pin connector, nothing. Press the start button on the motherboard, nothing. Check the wiring, nothing. I'm running out of options here.
