Hi All,

So I've been trying to set up the auto login feature for my account but no methods are working for me. I've tried netplwiz and control userpasswords2 so that I can then select my account and uncheck the box that says "users must enter a username and password" But that option isn't available. I read that this is because I'm on a Microsoft Account or on a Domain.

So I then open the registry and navigate to Winlogon and from there I set up four different registry files:

AutoAdminLogin: 1
DefaultDomainName: Alien_Home
DefaultUserName: MicrosoftAccount\MyUsername
DefaultPassword: MyPassword

However I still have to login, also when I go back to the registry it actually reverts the modifications back. AutoAdminLogin value changes back to zero and default password is removed.

Solution
If on a domain, then the network admin will need to amend your account profile to autologin.

Try this for a local microsoft account.

That's the first thing I tried, but as I stated the "require username and password" dialogue box doesn't appear for me because I'm on a domain or because I have a Microsoft account. So that method won't work for me.
