My computer was suddenly at a windows recovery screen this morning. From what I can tell windows cannot see my RAID array although both drives are seen and are not reporting any errors by the motherboard controller. When using a command prompt (from windows recovery) I cannot access the drives either.

Is there a utility I can run to check the drives/partition table? I can't seem to find anything that will run in DOS on a RAID array.

The drives are Toshiba SAS and the motherboard is an ASUS P6T.

Solution

There are safe windows-based data recovery tools like r-studio, RAID Reconstructor, etc... that can do this, though you NEED to make clones/images of the drives first before using these tools.
