I have a siberia v2 headset, (non usb). And im getting a lot of static which is bugging me a lot, my voice seems fine and quite high quality, but i'd like to know how i can remove the static, im using windows 7, and a realtek audio manager.
Right click your Sound icon in the taskbar.

And select "Recording devices"
Right click your microphone
Properties > Levels
Now deselect Microphone Boost.
Hope that helped. It's a pretty common issue with mic static. You have a lot of YouTube tutorials on that.
No I haven't tried any of those, I just chose this based on some reviews and that's it. But if you want to you can explore more of these.
And they're not expensive at all.
Also, another question, I took a further look into it, and a lot of people have said that it improves sound quality, how so does it with my microphone? does it improve the quality? or just removes some static?
