Hello everyone

I have a GA-K8N51GMF-9 motherboard that supports the Dual Channel memory Technology.

according to the motherboard mannual, I installed Kingston 512MB memory modules in DDR1 and DDR2 DIMM sockets.

But it is not working in Dual Channel mode.

In the BIOS screen It shows "Memory runs at single Channel"

Porcessor is AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Porcessor 3200+

Please help me to fix this.

Do I need to update BIOS?

when in windows is it showing 1gb of ram or 512mb of ram? you may also try and put the sticks in slots 3 and 4 as they will run dual channel as well.

Ironssounds if you took the time to look up the manual it says to run dual channel in same colored slots, pairing 1 and 2, or 3 and 4. Crossing 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 will not run dual channel on that board and will actually cause it not to boot, as stated in the manual.
