Virtualization not in anywhere in bios Intel Core i7 920 bios a11

i hit f2 on bios and i get cmos settings and i can't find Virtualization
i checked if my cpu is compatible

This is a motherboard issue, I know from personally owning an i7 920 with an Asus motherboard that you can select it in the bios for the motherboard. So either you need a bios update or it just isn't an option for the motherboard. Check your manual.

to use a feature on a program I need to enable virtualization
by the way it is windows 8.1 pro

I think it would be a motherboard issue. I would try going into the BIOS and resetting your computer first. Otherwise, you may need to update BIOS. I personally do not like that, but if you need to use that feature then a BIOS update may be your only option.

Run it for a while and see what it does, if does it again. Try reinstalling drivers and or put on NEW Thermal paste on your heatsink. What heatsink are you using, if I may ask?

I managed to find a way around by flashing vmdisk.img to usb then booting from it
