lost 2 thread of my cpu

hi all
i have [ AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor ]
and in the task manager it always show me 8 thread
the rating was given by windows is 7.8
suddenly when i was rendering i count only 6 thread
by checking with the task manager i found out the rating became 7.4 and show only 6 thread
i tried re-run the assessment but nothing change .
is this common problem or what
the CPU has been used for about 2 years >sometimes render for weeks but mostly 15 hours work everyday
any help please

It may only use only 6 threads while rendering but you have a total of 8. There may be a problem with the cpu, but losing threads wouldn't be the cause of rendering. Since you are using it 15 per work day. Restart your computer and check BIOS settings also.

Try looking for the AMD System Monitor, and or other AMD CPU diagnostic utilities. This should do the trick for you. Good luck.

i take a look at the bios
i didn't know what to look for
it gives me the same name of the CPU AMD-8150

i download the AMD System Monitor
it didn't provide me more details of e task manager ( same number of thread )

i just format and download windows 7 again
