[SOLVED] Start up process called: 3.2.4__2289.exe

The process name (iteration?) seems to be changing over time as it used to show up as 3.2.2__ I have no idea how I got it, but it has been around for about 3 months. I cannot remember downloading any strange programs at that time. I do not have any problems with the computer's functioning - just the question about the process. Again, I have WinXP SP3. Any ideas? If any further info is needed, let me know.

Yes, I did that search as well. I have continued searching out possibilities on my end. Today, the process was:
3.4.2_32239. I happened to come across someone with a different problem and checked the logs they posted in a different tech website and did a search for my string. It came up under uTorrent. I have it on my computer in a 'download' state, but NOT installed -never got around to it. So I thought it weird, if it had an 'active' process on start up -especially one that seems to have changed from 3.2.2... to 3.4.2... My computer seems to run okay, but I have been stopping the process in task manager.

Hi Phillip, my apologies for leaving this hanging without closure. I am not the most proficient, nor efficient at technology..and this would even include traipsing(sp?) around in forums like this one. Anyhow, thank you for the effort and I will properly close this thread.
