Unique Motherboard - Power Supply Options?

Hello all, I have a unique build going currently where I have a low wattage desktop ITX motherboard paired with a mobile i7 sandy bridge processor. Let me start by saying that this solution works, and I've powered up and have used it, but I am looking for a better option to provide power.

See the motherboard does not have a standard 20/24 pin primary connector. The entire system receives power via a single 4-pin CPU connector. This means that I have to hotwire a psu that is constantly running, even when I am not using the computer, though I can utilize the power buttons and reset buttons for the actual mainboard.

The motherboard is unique because of the above statement but also because it can accept power from a circular, 4-pin +12 V dc power supply, external of the computer. For reference as to what I am talking about, please see page 48 of this (http://www.datasheetarchive.com/dl/Datasheets-AQ2/DSAAQ0030406.pdf) document.

While this DC external solution sounds great, I don't know where I could find such a power supply. Is there a better alternate than hotwiring a standard ATX PSU for my application? The system will never utilize over 80 watts.

I am confused as to how the device that you linked works... Will it provide power to the 4-pin cpu connector without the 24 pin main mobo connector (that my mobo lacks)?

Emerson Network Power MITX-CORE-820. It was one of the only boards that I could find for a desktop that would support my mobile processor. If you click on the link in my original post you can learn more about the power delivery.
