Which Devil's Canyon processor should I get.

I mainly want it for FS2004 & FSX and I would be burning some movies or something, and I also I usually surf the web with multiple's upon multiple's of browsers open(coming from Athlon ii x2 250 3 ghz), so which one would be great??

Because I am greatly considering the i5 4690k, as I was completely focused on the i7 4790k the whole time and still kinda am, until I hear otherwise??

Thank you an advance!!!!:)

A i7 4790k is worth the $100 extra if you really will utilize all 8 threads. From the tasks you do (movie burning, FSX, multiple windows of browser with multiple tabs), I'd say an i7 will be good enough of a buy for your needs and more.

i5 is a worthwhile value for money, but then there're some tasks which are suited well for i7, mainly multi threaded apps. If you really do render/ convert/ burn FHD movies, then i7 might just be what you want. FSX will also run better on an i7.
