I currently have no GPU only Integrated HD Graphics and so I thought about getting a nice gpu for my system and I saw a r9 280x.
I want to get it but I don't know if my power supply can actually handle this system:

GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x Windforce 3GB
CPU: I5 4690k @3.5 GHZ
RAM: 8GB 1600 mhz

And I currently have a QoRi ATX 550W V2.03 P4 power supply.
And if this one isn't enough, I've got my sights on this PSU: http://www.corsair.com/en/vs-seriestm-vs650-650-watt-po...

So which power supply is best for me?

Yes you will need a new power supply and the corsair one is more than enough

Don't get the Corsair VS PSU, get an XFX or Seasonic unit or even a lower end EVGA.

Pick another. Corsair CX and VS power supplies use low quality capacitors and tend to fail quite early. Anything from Seasonic, XFX, some Antec, some Rosewill and be quiet! will do better than CX or VS.

you don't need another power supply...keep the one you have....test it out and see what happens, if your system shuts down on it's own then get a new power supply...don't waste your money....i have two hd 7970 in crossfire and i never go over 500watts under full load

I do not know about the quality of your current psu.
It seems like it would not be sufficient.
Here is a chart to help:

I think the windforce models are even more power hungry than the basic R9-280x.
The corsair 650w unit should do it.

Okay, seems like neither one of those are good, so I looked some more psus and found

PSU Aerocool KCAS 600W, 80 PLUS BRONZE for pretty cheap.

Would that one suffice?

A Radeon R9-280X needs 30 amps on the 12v+ rail and at least a 550w power supply.

Aerocool supplies are very poor.

Ok if I pushed my budget a little bit more I could get PSU Seasonic SS-600ET 600W
I heard that seasonic PSUs are nearly the best.

The Seasonic SS-600ET 600W is base on the SeaSonic S12II Bronze Series , so it should be decent.

But is it decent enough for my build? Oh, and I won't be overclocking too much, just a light oc probably.

The S12II Bronze Series uses all Japanese capacitors and have sleeved output cables.

The Seasonic SS-xxxET Active PFC OEM series uses a Japanese primary capacitor but due to cost cutting Seasonic has decided to use second tier Taiwanese OST capacitors on the secondary. The output cables are also unsleeved.
