Do all these parts go together (compatible) ?

GIGABYTE GA-H97M-HD3 LGA 1150

Intel Pentium G3258 OR G3420, not sure yet. Waiting for your opinions (see below).

G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-8GAO

Which should I go with between the 2 processors ? This will be a simple home PC, no overclocking, no gaming whatsoever. Just internet browsing, emails, watching movies, burning CD/DVD here and there, nothing more.

Thank you

I did not list all the parts here.

Over and above the parts listed above, my build will include a windows 8.1 OEM, Seasonic G series 550RM PSU, Antec three hundred two case, Crucial MX100 SSD 256MB, 2 WD Blue HDD (1 for data including images of drive C and the other one to keep a duplicate of the data on the first drive HDD drive. I have here at home an almost brand new Sony optical drive. So, no need to buy another one. Right now, that totals around $820 (before shipping and taxes on Newegg.ca (I live in Canada).

That is the maximum I want to spend. My budget has been stretched to the maximum. I know I could save a few bucks on the PSU but since it is my first build, I want a semi modular PSU. No messing around with wires.
