How much can i overclock in order to be stable and safe?

i4670k
G skill XL Series RIpjaws 2*4G 12800
MSI Z87-G43
Cooler MAster 212 Hyper evo
Corsair CS550 80PLUS GOLD
GTX 770 TWIN FRORZ GAMING

And at which frequency does it stop to be helpful if its for gaming only?

You mean that overclocking is useless for gaming?
Even for games like watchdogs?

Ok, ty for the answer but to be sure, you mean my mothercard for "mobo", right?

I also heard that the maximum frequency was pretty random depending on the processor you get from intel, I mean that it can change even with the same model. Is it true?

I've never heard of a "mothercard". What I meant was mobo = motherboard.

Yes, results can vary widely based on the quality of your particular chip. Also known as the "Silicon Lottery".

Noo, I mean overclocking is not -required- for gaming. Faster is better whether you can utilize the greater speed or not. You won't hate your computer because it is not overclocked, but I'm sure you will like it if it is. =)

Yes, XMP enabled allows the motherboard to detect performance settings of the RAM and automatically configure settings in BIOS/EFI.
