Ok so I'm going to university this September and I've been treated to £500 towards a new laptop. Il be doing everyday tasks like email, documents and general web surfing but I'll also be doing 3D modeling/rendering. I've read rendering is RAM and CPU intensive so more cores the better right? I don't know what's better though, duel core hyper threaded Intel CPU or standard quad core AMD or weather integrated or dedicated graphics would speed things up. I've been looking at some laptops, all with different processors and I need some good pointers as to what the better option would be from the following:

(All with 8GB RAM)
i5 4200u with integrated graphics
i5 4200m with Nvidia GeForce GT 740m
i7 4700mq with integrated graphics
i7 4500u with AMD Radeon R7 M265
AMD A10 5750m with AMD Radeon HD 8650
AMD A10 7300 with AMD Radeon R7

I know there's better processors for specific things but I'm on a budget, which if i really need to, I can stretch a little. Any pointers would be really helpful!
Thanks! :)

I would go with AMD for rendering. AMD A10 7300 with AMD Radeon R7 is your best choice. I always heared that AMD is very good for rendering and 3D programs for what you are using. Intel is favored also. i7 4500u with AMD Radeon R7 M265 is good. Only reason I say the first one is because I would think it would utilize the cores for rendering rather than gaming, but that is very debatable. Again, go with the first choice for your laptop. AMD apu's may be a bit weak, so first or second choice is good! The newer AMD apus are understimated.

the marked one is your best option quad core with hyper threading paired with a dedicated gpu! amd apu's arent that strong. performance wisely A10 would be equal to an i3!

EDIT: i7 4700mq would still perform a bit better but better have a gpu, it will also help in some aplications and always have all 8gb of ram avaliable rather than shared with an igp or apu

yeah, logainofhades it is a dual core!thanks for clarifying! they actually made a i5 better than an i7!? lol .marketing what can i say! the i7 has 1mb cache more but lower clock! since 740m is faster than 265m then i5 / 740m is the best combo afterall!

Hey guys, thanks for the replys! I've found my rendering software doesn't use a graphics card so the i7 4700mq? But I've found another laptop with i7 4510u with AMD R7 graphics similar to the one I already mentioned but this ones a Dell Inspiron 15R, 5547. I'm not sure weather a dell is any good though for like reliability and stuff. Do you think its worth buying or shall I get the i7 4700mq which is a Lenovo?
Thanks again!
