Hi,

I just bought a second video card so that I can do cross fire and I wanted to make sure I have the proper wattage for my system. I currently have a 650 watt PSU.

I have an i7-970 CPU, two radeon 6850 cards, one SSD drive, two regular HDDs and a DVD drive. Will my current PSU work for this? It's a corsair so I believe it's a good one.

Also, my first graphics card only has 1 power connector on it, but the new one has two, do I need to have both power connecters connected to the second card? because I only have one free power connector on my PSU.

if you said it was a SeaSonic - we could probably get away without knowing what the actual model of power supply is and we could say YES.

However without that knowledge it's hard to say. If the 12V is on a single rail it is possible that your current PSU will handle it.

so - it sounds like you are trying to do SLI between two different cards - even though they are the same AMD model. Not sure how that is going to go.
