So I locked in on the Intel G3258 on Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 motherboard, im clueless on wich video card I should use now, my budget for the gpu is around 200$ , I would need something that would be balanced with the overclock g3258. Any suggestion?

for $200 the R9 280 is a bang for your buck.

That depends, are you planning to overclock the cpu or run it at stock speeds?

the r9 270x looks like it is in my price range of 220$, the 280 seems to be near the 280$ range as I am in Canada, is there any substantial improvement of performence over the 270x to justify the difference in price?

Its not much of a difference to be honest , more like 6-8 frames dependent on the game. Get the 270X its a great card afterall
