Hi I have a corsair cx 600 watt psu and im wondering if it will be ok running a fx 8350 and a saphire r9 290 ?

I wont be overclocking my system , my fx 8350 wont be going above the standard turbo core at 4.2 ghz.

I used extreme psu calculator and put in all my detailes down to the amount of memory sticks and fans and everything .. it told me 500 watt min and recommended 550 watt!

Is this accurate because so many people are saying they need a 1050 watt even for their gtx 660 and i5 ?

Will the corsair cx600 be ok for my setup ?

Thanks guys !!

Thanks for the responses .

To legend001523 ...
If my cpu uses 125 watt and the r9 card uses 275 watt on full load that adds up to 400 , surely the mb and a hdd wouldnt use the last 200 ?

That might just be idle wattage, for a higher end gpu, it's always safer to go with a better brand, because lower tier models like this one might not output 600w, it might just give out like 550, unless you are on a strict budget id strongly recommend you get a better one
