Hey guys.

I have a Gateway HD2201 that worked fine, however, for the last few months its been used for PlayStation 4 using HDMI, and for a P4 Hp using DVI prior.A couple days ago i used it to begin setting up a Hp DUO using HDMI but only for bios stats at the time. I reconnected to PlayStation 4 and got no signal. I tried 2 other cables and still no signal, i tried with a DVI cable and no problem.

I then connected to my pc as 2nd display with no signal for HDMI, although the pc detects it, and again it works fine with DVI.

Also the monitor only alows menu control on detected display I connected both HDMI and DVI from this monitor and only DVI works and in the working menu any auto selections are greyed and not available...so I selected HDMI and the screen turns black follow3d by no signal...however I restart the monitor and it redetects the DVI connection.

Sounds like the HDMI port might have got fried on the monitor then. It happens. Too many people hot-swap HDMI and I think it's one of those things that better to be plugged in when all devices are off and turned back on. Pushing the cable in sideways a bit, touching a couple of pins, bzzzzt, fried.

I also believe that as a possibility, although I hoped a possible resolve considering the monitor's make and model detected with HDMI. Another thought ...my son also had occasional problems with the HDMI sound output from the monitor to a speaker boost pc style...wonder if it could have caused it if at all linked to the HDMI output
