I've been backing up my photos for years now. My phone is the same, the flash drive is the same, etc. It's been working for a while. About a week ago whenever I transferred photos that I recently took from my iPhone to the flashdrive, they are temporarily seen there until the next time I plug the flash drive in. When I double click a photo to enlarge, Windows Photo Viewer says now that it's not in the correct format or it needs to be updated. I checked and Windows Photo Viewer is up to date and the photos are the same type, JPEG. Nothing has changed. I dont understand why they arent opening.
I did a Command Prompt on the flash drive and nothing happened. I also ran an Error Checking scan and it didnt fix it. Am I to assume that my flash drive has corrupt files on it all of a sudden? It only happens with any photo from now on that I want to transfer to the flash drive. I even tried transferring a photo from my Pictures on my laptop and once it was copied to the flash drive, it does not open there. I'm so frustrated!!
