Cheap and Good RAM for Z-87 Pro

Hello,
I am wondering what RAM I should use for my Z-87Pro with i7-4770k (I know CPU does not matter on this, just adding it to the discussion).

I am currently using G.Skill Ripjaws 4x4GB sticks, which I used on my last build as well, and I think it is time for an upgrade.

I am having issues with playing BF4 and it crashing/BSODing, and I have read that RAM could be a possible issue for this (Pretty much it bares down to the RAM or the GPU at this point). So this also is why I want to possibly upgrade.

Just looking for what is best out there right now, preferably at a 2x8GB at a cost that is relatively cheap. I am reading a bit and seeing that, unless you OC your MoBo, the RAM speeds (if say 2133 or 2400) will be dropped down to around the 1600MHz speed, so I assume that the 1600MHz speeds are suffice.

I am in Canada and will be using www.canadacomputers.com to purchase said RAM.

Thanks!

Stress test your ram with memtest86+
If it passes a few full passes without ANY errors, your ram is ok and not he cause of your problems.

Faster ram past 1600 will not significantly improve your cpu performance with a 4770K

Graphics driver updates and game patches would be my first guess.
If those are current, look to a defective graphics card.

Also check to see if there are any ram related bios updates for your motherboard.
Do not update the bios on pure speculation. A failed bios update may brick your motherboard.

BIOS is up to date, I tested my RAM about 6 months ago with no issue, GPU is up to date with drivers.

I have read a fair bit, and it seems there is something with 7xx cards and BF4, like people who have it are having issues often. I want to believe it is the game, as I do not crash/BSOD with other games.

It is running at whatever stock is on it, I don't OC my stuff, yet I bought an OC'd friggin' GPU and its possibly all my issues in one.

Will give this a go in the morning. What I also just did, because I am a derp and didn't realize that there are 3x PCI-E 16x on my MOBO, so I moved my GPU to another one (reinstalled drives), as well as removed 2 of the 4 sticks of RAM so I am running dual channel at the moment. Haven't noticed any items opening/closing slower at the moment, so will run it and see what happens.

Will advise what happens tomorrow, will bump the thread then.
