I've had the RAT 9 a while now and everything was fine until recently it would firstly the dpi setting would just drop suddenly, not often but significant then it would just stop responding during games and also on the desktop until I shake it rapidly for a few seconds the it would be back on track, this is a huge issue for me as it will definitely get you killed in games and cause you to fail time sensitive tasks, this is quite ridiculous and unacceptable...

Mine lasted almost 5 weeks. It started acting up after a few days. I kept thinking it was due to a driver issue or a problem with gaming on a workstation but that was just the first issue. I know the sudden stopping is mildly frustrating to say the least. I play fps's at a fairly competitive level and when this happened I was getting so fed up I was ready to commit real violence on the damn RAT. I paid $170 locally for mine and there were just problem after problem. The adjustment features are a total joke. The moving parts either were falling off or would move in the middle of use. I think one of the final straws was after 4.5 weeks I noticed the Teflon slides were almost totally gone. Unlike other mice you cannot get replacements. And while the two batteries were nice they are custom and I was having doubts about getting new ones of those too. I put in a repair request and about 6 days later they sort of replied. Was very lame to the tune of what do you want level. I then wrote to a vice president who address I found and he replied about two days later. However I was so pissed off about the treatment I had managed to convince the chain store that I bought it from to take it back for instore credit even though I was waaay past the limit. I also had a word about how poor a value this was and they stopped selling them! I wasnt the first complaint may the most irritated though lol. As you can tell by the length of my short "ME2" lol it still annoys me. I went back to my $60 logitech g700s laser gaming mouse. It has yet to miss a beat. It at least offers replacement parts and a common rechargeable battery available anywhere. Save you money and get a logitech. I tried about 5 other supposed gaming mice before getting the rat 9, I thought I was buying the ultimate mouse. I didn't realize I was just being the ultimate SUCKER.
