I have the AMD Radeon R7 260X Core Edition and recently my 2nd monitor isn't displaying anymore. It displays all the way up to when windows desktop pops up,then the computer says the display is being detected then undetected over and over again in the device manager. Also I hear the windows noise for when I plug in or unplug something like a mouse, it sounds about every 2 seconds. The way my displays are setup is I have a old school CRT VGA monitor with a DVI adapter in the DVI-I port and a HP 2009m(The one that isn't working
) in the DVI-D port.

This also happened when I first got the Graphics card about 2 months ago but i re-installed windows and it worked. I really don't wanna have to do that every couple of months :/. Also, i've re-installed the drivers at least 4 times and that hasn't worked. I have no idea what to do, thanks for any help.

PC Specs:
AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
AMD Radeon R7 260X
Kingston HyperX Black (2x4GB)
Asrock 990FX Extreme3
Antec TruePower 550 PSU

Solution

You should give it ago , I had the same problem and I replaced HDMI cables ( in my case ) and moved the Graphics Card in a different slot and it worked fine.

I don't think that's it, I only have an adapter on the VGA monitor and it's the only one that's working atm . The other one is just on a DVI cable directly to the graphics card.

I've tried other cords but I'll try to move the card to a different slot, thanks.

Thanks! I switched to another PCI-e x16 slot and everything appears to be running well now. My only concern is that now my GPU is very close to my PSU fan. I 'll have to look at my temps now & might have to get a new case. :ouch:

You don't need a new case , you can get some case fans and you'll be fine also I'm glad I fixed your problems :D
