About an hour or two into use, my laptop bluecreens with the error:

IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal

It doesn't matter what I am doing (idling, watching a video, playing a game). It started after I installed Windows 7 on my MSI GS70 (Windows 8 was pre-installed). MSI provides drivers for both Windows 7 and 8 here:

http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GS70-STEALTH.html#down-driver

I wiped my drive and did not make a recovery disk or write down my Windows 8 key so I cannot revert as far as I know.

I know that more information can be retrieved about the BSOD but I don't know exactly where to find it. If it would be helpful please let me know where to go.

Unfortunately, this didn't fix my problem. I don't think this a virus or malware problem as this is a new installation of Windows.
