Hey! I've been wanting to overclock, but when i made a pre-overclock test with Prime95 i got temps which were way too high:

I know i can't overclock, but i was wondering if i could activate AMD Turbo Core in the BIOS safely. I mean, i won't have any overheating problems, will i?

My pc:
Processor: FX 6100
Motherboard: M5A78L-M LX3
Stock cooling

Thanks :D

Solution
Yes, I'm sure. Turbo Core should turn on by itself when you're ingame and there's heavy action. That's the point of Turbo Core, is to turn on the speed when it needs to, and turn it down when not needed.

Mmm are you sure? Because this processor never goes over 3.3 GHz. But technically it would hit 3.9 if i activated amd turbo

Neither. Again, AMD Turbo Core/Intel TurboBoost is a CPU instruction that allows it to raise its clock speed by itself so that it would accommodate the extra performance boost needed by the application. So BIOS has no need to cover it, and you can't really see it unless you have a CPU monitoring program in-game on the HUD.
