A couple of weeks ago, my computer started to randomly turn off. It is as if someone pulled the plug. I checked the temps with core temp and speccy, and while playing a highly modded skyrim at max settings, the cpu tem got up to 67c and the gpu got up to 60c. idle temps are below. the only changes that I had made around that time was adding a second screen. I have tried removeing the screen, but it is still cutting off. Can someone please help?

My computer's specs are:
Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

I bet your power supply is to blame. Over the years, I've had many power supplies fail on me, and when it does, the computer will suddenly shut off during high stress. I bet it happens only when you're running a demanding program, yeah?

Unfortunately, if that's the case, you pretty much just have to buy a new power supply :/

I think you may be right, but it does happen sometimes with low stress levels. The last time it happened when I opened Firefox. Do you think there is a chance it is the video card? that is my fear because it is the most expensive piece in my rig.

I have a similar problem, I am thinking it is the PSU or Mobo.

Do you have to power cycle the PSU before it will turn on again? I am going to get a temp PSU and see if the same thing happens, if it does, i wonder if the Mobo could be the issue. We currently use the same Sabertooth Motherboard.
