good day every body ..

recently i got the sapphire r9 290x oc tri x ..
its wokring pretty well but today i noticed a little bit weird case ...
when im gaming the clock is never @ 1040 its always 900 something ..
and this is for sure hurting the fps .. ive tried every thing ..
different games .. different software ..
im even having a stable oc that i use at sometimes with after burner ..
1170/1500 and its running stable in benchmarks etc ..
usually when im gaming i track the fps but today is the first time i notice the clock mhz while gaming .. whether oc'd or stock it never hits even the stock core of 1040 ..
ive tried watch dogs .. thief .. Hitman ..
but i noticed something .. the clocks seems to throttle down once its within the 60's.. my temps even under heavy over clock never goes above 75 and im aware the stock temps are 95 .. so why the hell the card is throttling down ..
when im running unigine heaven benchmark or furmark it remain locked on its value ... it goes down at some very quick points and yet i dont know why though the card barely hits 70 C ..
so in brief in benchmarking programs the clocks are as stable as possible though yet goes down very little but in gaming its a rollercoaster though the gpu load is 100 and my cpu load on the 8 cores is barley 25 - 30 so no way there is a bottle neck any where ... their aint any logical reason for such behavior ... im on the latest beta driver .. came out july ..
also i want to add that i have 1350 PSU so its impossible this is a power issue ..
i just dont know .. ive searched a lot but i didnt find any info rather than the safe ati downclocking when hitting 95 degrees nothing mentioned ever about throttling down @ 60 C !
so i would really appreciate the help here since im loosing my mind ..

Regards.

Wow, Your CPU has TDP of 220W but your mobo supports CPU upto 140W TDP plus this mobo has 4+1 power phase design. Nothing is wrong with your GPU.

You need to change your mobo to something which supports 8+2 power phase design and can tolerate 220W TDP here.

Edited: Striked out above mentioned statements due to wrong version checking. I checked 990Fx Extreme 3. My bad.

Sorry dear. I hooked up to a wrong version of ASRock there. My bad. Yes, it does support the CPU and it has powerful V12+2 power phase design. Sorry for inconvenience.

Start your PC in safe mode. Uninstall the card's drivers. Restart the PC and then install drivers again and see if it works please.

Tried this and yet the same ... Isnt there like a setting that can force constant clocks like with nvidia ?
