can any one explain to me why ie 11 is automatically downloaded as an update in a 86x on a 64 bit system this seems a bit stupid when they have it in a 64 bit the only way I got wise to this was my adobe flash player is 32 bit and when I tried to make it a 64 bit it tolled me I did not have a 64 bit i.e and was running a 32 bit internet explorer now I don't know about you but I think this pure laziness on the part of Microsoft and they have dropped the ball on this one

I think its more to do with browsing the web, toolbar items ect are also effected but which version you have installed. Some stuff will only work correctly on the 32 bit version of IE. There is a lot of support for the 64 bit browser but some features simply wont work with it. I think its more to do with the average user, the average user has a 32bit (OS), the average user does not have a clue about 32 bit 64 bit, if the aveage user downloads the 64 bit and features dont work the wont have a clue why. I think its all to do with making things as simple as possible for the average user. I may be wrong on that.

*Edit also microsoft want to use there browser so including the 32 bit version it guarantees it will run on every machine.
