I have a ddr3 motherboard can i run ddr5 gfx card on it?

My PC specs:
Motherboard:ipmsb-h61
RAM:2 GB ddr3
Processor:intel core i3 2100
Currect gfx card:Nvidia geforce 8400 GS(quite old :/)
So i m thinking to get HD 7700.I want to know that can my motherboard can run ddr5 gfx card.I have no ide on which pcie version my CPU has.

Your mobo is microATX motherboard from Pegatron. It has two PCI slots, one PCIe x1 and one PCIe x16 slot. Chipset is H61. Coming to your question, yes this motherboard will run HD 7700 series cards from AMD.

Generally, this motherboard can run any graphics card be it gddr5 or ddr3. Also make one thing clear, RAM or physical memory has nothing to do with GPU's compatibility on motherboard. This is because, mobos have their VRAM built-in themselves.
