So I recently bought this new laptop and I was hoping I'd be able to play a game on it. It runs smoothly and I have the recommended specs and everything. There hasn't been a problem with lag or anything. The only thing is that after a bit of time, normally 10 minutes, within a certain game type my whole entire computer just crashes. It does this whole glitchy screen look type of thing and I have to force restart to go back to the game but it crashes again afterwards.

It's an Asus computer X550E

AMD-A4 5000 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics 1.5 GHz
6.00GB (5.44 GB usable)

More about : completely freezing game glitchy screen

maybe you have put somethnig on exhaust try not to block it maybe heat is the problem try monitoring your temps use "Open HardwareMonitor" and investigate what are the max temps that laptop can endure on google then look at result after playing

I'm not so sure it's going so high over the recommended temperatures that it's effecting it. The highest temperatures it hits are 52 or 53 maybe. Most of the time even during gaming it's around 49 or 48. Thank you for the suggestion though, I'll research more on that since it's possible it shouldn't even go over 50 but I'm not entirely certain.

Hi pepperminty, I'm thinking of buying this same computer, and I wanted to ask you about it. Is it good?:

- gaming?
- battery?
- speed?
- multitasking?
- pros and cons?

It'll really help if you can tell me something about this computer... anything... THANKS!
