I am curious how this gaming rig blueprint would hold up in 4K; before any body answers this, please take note that I will not have the system purchased until early to mid September.
I would like to keep the i7 4790k for the hyper threading as it is good for editing and faster video conversion.

Grand Total: $2,540.60

As it is going to be in September, I am aware of the impending announcement of the GTX 880. I am using the GTX 780 Ti's as a point of reference/back up plan. Will this build, as it stands, handle 4K well? Also the reasoning for such a monstrously huge PSU is that I want to have plenty of head room for future expansion if I ever feel the need to add a third or even fourth card.

Post your thoughts! Thanks! :)

The pny model is a low tier 780 ti btw, should get 60fps or more, though evga are releasing a 6gb 780 ti very soon, so you might want to consider that. I'mnot saying adate make bad RAM but I'drecommend you go g skill ripjaws orcorsair vengeance, mainly cause they're a tried and tested ram sticks

Lower tier GTX 780 ti?

I believe he just means it's 3GB instead of 6GB. That PNY is a great card, cheap and a good cooler. However if you're running at 4K resolution, 3GB's of VRAM will be cutting it close even today. If you want future proofing I HIGHLY recommend you look for a 6GB version.

So your just slapping in brand favouritism. There is literally NO performance difference between brands of a card at the same speeds. Period.

The evga classified acx will get 10-15more fps than a srock 780ti and 5-9more than a pny, i dont really afvourite any brand, but some 780 tis will be faster, more cool, more quieter and more features, now that's just my optinion, there is no chart for 780 ti's, but thats just how i sort out different models

I don't suppose there is an estimated release date for the GTX 780 Ti 6 GB is there? If not that, I could possibly hold out for the GTX 880, rumors point to a September/October release for that. Then again, it is rumors.

That is an interesting notion. I suppose with that the GTX 780 ti and GTX 880 should have the same amount of horse power; maybe more so with the GTX 880?
