first pc boot

I just got the msi csm-b75ma-p45 motherboard and the core i3 3220 my pc doesn't boot after I build it. am the cpu socket its written lga115x and the i3 3220 requires a lga 1155 socket could this be the reason I can't boot

Just for good measure, check the socket closely for a bent pin. Just a thought, but it can easily prevent the cpu from booting. Sometimes a bent pin is just slightly out of place and it can prevent the boot. Best of luck.

seems there both 1155 and should be good .. at msi I did not see any bios info or a cpu support list for it so its a guess job on that issue msi seems to do a real poor job on this in where you don't know if the chip you got is supported with the bios that shipped on the board at least I cant find it unless theres just one bios ever for it that covers all 1155 cpus ??
