I hope this is the correct sub forum for this question.

Some minutes ago as I was going from the bathroom I saw lightning strike behind our house and as I came to my room computer was affected by it. All other components along monitor and router also went off/on.

Comp went from desktop to boot screen but this one was different looking then normal one. It said something about "USB initializing". I turned power on and off to restart it and it never booted again.

Now when I try to turn it on simple nothing is happening, no lights on motherboard or anything, just dead.

I re-connected all cables inside and outside the computer and held power button on for 30 sec while PSU was turned off with hopes to remove any electric charge that might be interfering. Didnt help.

Does anybody know a possible work around for this or can you tell me if this was PSU that was fried? As I said nothing is happening, not even a single light turning on the MB.

I tested paper clip method and the PSU fan is spinning. So I guess this is something else. Could it be motherboard? I did plug different Hard Drive and results were the same so its not that for sure.

P.S. thanks for advice
